Hi Tim, they are not bell bottoms, it was windy when the pic was taken to the pants were flailing quite a bit and as far as the brick pavements go, they have been working a lot on replacing all of them!

Hello, Kyle. Thanks for posting your outfit today! Like anyone who is starting to wear well fitting, good looking outfits... success doesn't come easily, but you're off to a good start.
• The color combinations seem good*
• Your pattern combinations are off to a good start
• You have a fair amount of work to get your fits closer to perfection (Your jacket and shirt sleeves are at least two inches too short and your trouser inseam is about two inches too long.)

*I am seriously color blind and before I buy something I ask my wife what clothes in my wardrobe will go with it. She knows my wardrobe and will quickly tell me which of my candidate purchases fit with in my existing wardrobe.

Take the coat back to J. Press and have them lengthen the sleeves by about 1 1/2". They shouldn't have let you leave the store looking like that. Otherwise you look fine for an undergrad.

Thanks for the tip, once it heats up I will take it back for alteration, does it fit elsewhere or should I take it in a bit?

If they can let out an inch in the shoulders and waist it would enable you to wear a Shetland underneath and accommodate any weight you might add, but the sleeves are the most critical. Otherwise, I think it's a fine, casual outfit.

Thanks, that's interesting to here since I am extremely thin: never thought I would need to have a jacket taken out x) but layering it and still having room is a good point.

Other than the sleeve length, it looks good to me. Is this a recent purchase from their clearance sale? I really wanted to buy another tweed (or 2) but I've bought more clothes the past 3 months than I want to acknowledge.

That's the key. I don't think form fitting looks good on extremely thin people. Embrace the "sack" suit and let out the waist. Besides the sleeves, I'd opt for a longer jacket. It is probably impossible/costly to lengthen the existing one.

Also, a darker shoe goes better with your outfit. Are you going to wear this for a special event?

Thank you for that!, it gives me a new confidence in wearing the sack look! I needed this confidence: I hate slim fitting suits and often get told these are too baggy. Do you think I should size up to a 38 regular?

It feels really comfy in the shoulders, so an inch let out by a tailor seems to be the way to go
