Mine is not for a couple of years, but I was thinking about it recently. I did not goto my 10 year, so I don't know how people dressed then. But curious to know what would you wear to your 20 year reunion? Suit? Sportcoat? Casual?

For my 10 year reunion most of the guys were in coats and ties ranging from blazers to suits.

At the 20 year mark there were a few ties and a few more wore jackets without ties, but most were more casual.

At the 30 year reunion there were only a handful of ties or jackets.

For the 40th reunion, well, this picture probably shows it better than I can say it:

And while off topic, both of those guys in the picture played in Lou Rawls touring band in the late 60's, shown here with Lou Rawls; but I'm not saying which two they are, they would kill me. :icon_smile_big:

I think, if I remember correctly, that I wore a jacket and tie as did many but not all. I did see a lot of smart casual. I found it a bit surreal because it was the first reunion I had attended and what struck me most was how so many folks had moved really far away on the one hand and many lived still very close to where we all grew up but somehow nobody seemed to run into each other very much. I enjoyed it but I had only the vaguest connection to the attendees and I don't think I would go to another because by the 30 year mark I will barely remember high school or the individuals. I do however see many of the people I met in college and count them as my closest friends although a college reunion with a cast of thousands would be pointless.

I just did mine in Sept. The ones who never moved away but became at least middle class wore suits and dresses, stood in the lobby by the bar and got hammered. The ones who moved away went inside by the buffet and the seats and were basically business casual.

I wore Alden black cordovan cap-toe bals, gray flannel pants (Brooks), blue Brooks OCBD, and a brown tweed jacket. No tie.

Since the tie crowd started doing kegstands @10, I didn't feel underdressed in the least.
