Sleeve LENGTHENING From The Shoulder?

I may have had the jacket's sleeves I plan on wearing tomorrow shortened too much, and the jacket had working cuffs, so they were shortened from the shoulder.

Would my tailor be able to lengthen them from the shoulder a bit? Or is the jacket toast?

It's finished unless you lengthen the sleeves and add another button and button hole. If you have four working button holes could you stand five like Paul Smith or sometimes Gucci?

If the back two buttons are shams you could unpick them, lengthen the sleeves and again add button holes in the right place this way you could keep the original button configuration.

Thinking really out the box if it's custom you could completely replace the sleeves of course it's extremely expensive.

Didn't your tailor offer ideas like this?

Haven't gone there yet...will do this weekend, or maybe after work tomorrow.

He usually leaves a bit of material, so maybe I won't need the jam.

I wouldn't mind the extra button if I can match them, not sure if I have two extras.

I have been informed a couple times by salesman and/or owners of very nice stores that most tailors don't cut away excess material when something is shortened or taken in. It just takes more time for them and tailors or alterations people are usually working as fast as they can.
sorry but setting the sleeve into the armhole is a different story entirely from usual alterations.
