I like mine, apart from some issues with sleeve length and a hack job by my tailor that means I now have to wear two shirts with the sleeves rolled up.

I actually like the slightly lower button stance, and I think its quite a popular feature from what the rest of the interwebs says. What I don't like though is their cuffs. Maybe this is related to my struggles with getting the sleeve length right, but I feel like the rounded edge to the cuff is too abrupt the cuff's orientation just feels slightly off. Now that Trumaker has my measurements down I think they're the way I'll go if I'm looking to spend ~$100 on a shirt.

I received my first Ledbury shirt today and I'm returning it. The slim cut is REALLY slim in the waist (though the chest, collar, sleeves and shoulders fit well). I'm not fat, but I'm not rail thin either…and I know I'll swim around in the regular cut. Frankly, while the shirt is nice and they offer some beautiful patterns, I can't really say the construction is "luxury" (as they advertise). Disappointed.
I hate to say this, but they do offer dimensions of the product on the website, so that's mostly on you right there. Exchange it for a classic fit.

What didn't you like about the construction, may I ask? The way they construct the placket using the same piece of fabric as the left side (something T&A also do) and fuse the collar band from the outside in is pretty top notch.

Interesting. I rather like the way they make the cuffs. But if you have someone else you like better, that's all that matters.

Tell your tailor they owe you $230 for those shirts. That's unacceptable.

Ledbury used to be a sponsor here, but I haven't heard much about them for several years now.
I don't think this forum hits their target audience. When folks are complaning about the lower button stance -- which is one of the items they get compliments from elsewhere -- Ledbury probably decided to focus elsewhere.

I have 5 of their shirts and like them. The are not perfect, but on sale they are great price to quality and fit value! IMO. I've also had several shirts made with the lowered button stance. I rarely wear ties and the lower button stance is less stuffy. To each their own, but I am a fan.

I'm not sure why there's even a complaint about that feature. Because it encourages people to wear dress shirts as sport shirts? Not sure! I can see how it might be less useful to those who always wear a standard semi-spread white poplin with a suit and tie, but it's not like it detracts from wearing it that way.

Where do you get your shirts, Sudonihm? (Nice name, by the way.) I plan to get my next button-downs from Ratio with a lowered button stance. If there's any collar that can do double duty as sport and dress, it's that.

The construction was not awful, mind you…but having never bought one before…I though it would be something closer to some of the Talbot or Pink shirts I own. Regarding the size, I truly don't think (after getting advice directly from them), that the regular fit would be good for me either. With the exception of the waist, the slim fit is perfectly proportioned for me. I like the looks of some of their fabrics. Maybe I'll buy a regular cut one on sale and give it a try, but I'm not optimistic. It could very well be these just aren't the shirts or me.

The construction wasn't awful, mind you…I just thought it would be a little more on par with some of the more (truly) "luxury" shirts I've owned. Regarding the fit, I went back and forth on it and at the advice of their customer service person, I ordered the slim. That model fits me perfectly in the collar, shoulders, chest and back…but the waist is too small. I am quite sure the regular cut would be too big elsewhere (I like a tailored fit, but not too snug). It's entirely possible this just isn't the shirt for me. Too bad…some of their fabrics are really good looking.

Started buying their shirts when they first started out, I have about 8. Nice fabric and style, though I had to switch to the fuller cut. Wish they would bring back their white Panamas, offered them for a limited time and haven't since. The collar was a bit larger than their current spread. I have no need for more of the current crop but if the Panama was brought back I would certainly purchase.

I have one from Ratio (still tweaking the fit, but the shirt construction is nice and they hit the button stance perfectly. Once I have the ft nailed, I will likely order more shirts from them for the reasons you articulated - works equally well with and without a tie). I have a couple shirts from Spier and Mackay (great quality for the money, but the quality control was mediocre. For example, I ordered two shirts at different times with the lower button stance, and neither arrived with a lowered button stance). I have one from Proper Cloth (equal to Ratio in quality and above Spier and Mackay. I didn't ask for the lower button stance on it).

Ledbury slim fit, when on sale, is a good option for me as well.

TMMKC: You could always have an alterations tailor bring in the body and sleeves if necessary.

It's just a personal opinion. I don't like the look of that much of my neck exposed.
If I wear a collared shirt unbuttoned I sometimes unbutton 2 buttons, especially in the summer. Perhaps It suits my long neck. I welcome a lower 2nd button.

Also, the body length is a bit long -- 34" for a size 16.5" neck.
This certainly depends how tall you are. I'm 6'2" and I wear Kamakura dress shirts in a 15.5/35, which are 33.5" long. I prefer this length as they stay tucked in much better just as Jovan mentioned. I think it also shows that the manufacturer isn't skimping on material. My size of Kamakura shirt is the smallest in their NY Slim fit, the other sizes are 34" long or longer.

I've never really looked at these Ledbury shirts before. They seem well made and the patterns look tasteful without offering too many garish colors. However for the price I'll stick with my source of Kamakura shirts from their Japanese site where with the current exchange rate sell the Tokyo Fit shirts for less than $46 and the NY fits for about $54, with more selection than their US site.

I was at TJ Max today and found about 7 or so Ledbury shirts. The construction and fabric were great, but all of the shirts were slim cut, which didn't fit me. I also was not crazy about the lower button and passed on them.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting that they popped up at a TJ Max and they were priced at $24.99.
