Long story short I was wearing my snuff suede AE Cavenaugh's when I became sick and throw up ended up on them.

One of two shoes is fine but the other one was hit hard.

It doesn't look too bad but I was wondering what I could do to remedy the situation?

I stop into AE's store near me and thet recommended using their suede cleaner and the protectant for the shoes.

I was wondering if anyone could chime in on what I can do to fix this?

Thank you,
ESB

So far, none of my suede shoes have suffered that fate but eventually they always need a thorough clean. I immerse them in tepid water, then scrub them vigorously with a stiff brush and liquid detergent, then rinse thoroughly, scrubbing again at any especially soiled areas. I stuff the shoes with newspaper and then put them somewhere dry but not hot, to dry slowly. When dry, I rub them with a wire brush to bring up the nap.
This treatment may sound rather rough but it works well - I was recommended to clean suede shoes that way by the gentleman who runs Ducker's shoe shop in Oxford.

Best thing I've found to clean suede is the stuff from Jason Markk... You can get it at Nordstrom, some FinishLine stores and some specialty shoe stores.

I accidentally dropped a magic marker and it hit a new pair of AE Boone bucks. Thought they were completely ruined - AE even told me I was out of luck.

Went into Nordstrom to get a new pair and the sales rep suggested we try the stuff first. Ran home, got the shoes, came back and he went to town cleaning and know what -- it all came off and you can't even tell anything happened. In fact, it didn't discolor the suede or anything. I now use their protector and cleaner on all my suede, cloth and nubuck shoes.

It's not super expensive and works....

Ha! Finally, someone posted what I was thinking.

OP - that must have been a heck of a night! What's the long story?
Sorry to bump the thread.

I was in the middle of an informational interview with a contact when I suddenly started to feel nausous, short of breath and tired. After the intervew I took an uber to a friend's house and became very ill on the way. My driver stopped on the way to let me throw up-unfortunately some hit my shoes as well despite my best efforts.

Anyways I think I came down with ether food posioning or a bad virus.

In the meantime I used some of the suede cleaner/spray I got from the AE store and it worked well. Like it never even happened. :)
