Brown or Light Grey Tropical Wool trousers?

I've decided for warm weather pants, I'm going with tropical wool in medium and dark grey and cotton gabardine in stone, khaki and taupe. But I'm also trying to decide if I should go with tropical wool trousers in light grey or a cool toned brown color. I have a cool toned summer complexion and would wear these pants with just shirts and sometimes a navy wool hopsack blazer or an oatmeal colored wool/linen/silk sport coat.

I've never really loved brown trousers.

I'd go with the light grey.

If you're thinking for work, you can also do tropical wool in tan, taupe and olive.

I have a question. I have a nice pair of mid/dark grey tropical wool trousers. I like them. However, the material is somewhat shiny/slick, so I need to go with an equally formal shirt and blazer. They are a challenge to dress down. I can pull off a super fine knit polo I have, but other than that, none of my less formal dress shirts work. Any thought? I’ve been meaning to try fresco as a less shiny alternative.
