Does anyone have any pictures or experiences of combinations with a brown grenadine tie they could share?

With respect, I can't see what would be wrong per se with a brown tie and a cream shirt worn together.I've got a dark brown grenadine that goes well with most combinations of white or pale pink shirts and grey/charcoal/navy suits. Stress that it is very dark brown, similar to the 3rd picture posted above.
It doesn't go that well with a blue shirt, whether solid or striped, and even considering wearing it with a cream shirt makes me shudder![]()
It's just the '70s imagery that it conjures up...With respect, I can't see what would be wrong per se with a brown tie and a cream shirt worn together.
"Cream" seems to be an alternative term to the French "ecru" (meaning "raw," as in raw or unbleached cotton) but I think they are more or less interchangeably used as the general colorway of "off-white" shirtings. Thanks for the responses and for the thoroughness.
I had seen the JP one, but not the HH one. They all look like someone decided to pick one of the three ones David has to choose from.
The Drakes is a little narrow looking which I am thinking of trying. I'm not sure about it. All my ties are generally 3.5-3.75"
I was thinking about a gray suit on the lighter side. I just wasn't sure if that was a popular combination. I do wear a brown BB#1 with a blue stripe that I like with 'bankers' grey.
There's a picture on Brooks of a brown BB#1, light blue shirt, and a light gray suit, but it's the raincoat section header and it's hard to tell covered by a raincoat. My tie is similiar but has light blue stripes.

Would cream be the same as ecru or different?
Thanks again for such good replies!
I'm actually trying to work in a new pair of brown shoes and the brown ties are part of that effort.

He has spent a lot of time working on questions such as yours - if he does not have examples on hand he probably can put something together.
Also I am not sure if he has brown grenadines but if he does he has a reputation for fast service and very good prices.
I took a look at the Drakes site and the grenadine silk they are using appears to be the same Fermo Fossati silk that we use which is very beautiful silk.
I would suggest if possible looking at the ties in person as the website colors look different from ours. We carry 3 different Fermo Fossati brown grenadine silks.
You should request swatches from Drakes if you cannot order in person.
I will be happy to send you swatches if that would be helpful, Athough our ties are all bespoke so will take a little longer to arrive.
My thoughts on combinations:
The brown grenadine silk on a white shirt and dark suit or perhaps a Harris tweed jacket is a classic.

Sorry, but I too beg to differ. Brown with Cream is perfectly fine. Brown with Blue is as Will writes, a winning combo. With respect, I can't see what would be wrong per se with a brown tie and a cream shirt worn together.
