Barbour jacket liners sizing question

Did the old-style snap-in liners for Barbour jackets come in different models for different jackets, or were they a "one model fits all" deal? That is, would I need a size 44 Border liner, or just a size 44, for my Border?

Thanks!

The liners are universal. I think they come in s, m, l and perhaps xl. I have a size 40 Beaufort and a medium liner works fine. I would think that a large would work for your 44.

I found the answer, and I'm posting it here for others' reference!

Liner style A295 fits the Borders (A200).
Liner style A297 fits the Beauforts and Bedales.
Liner style A55 fits the International (A7) . To ensure a proper fit, please match the size of your jacket with the liner. So if you have a size 38 Bedale, you would need to order the A297-38.

You've answered yourself, so saved me the effort:icon_smile_wink:
The reason for the different liners is due to the very differing lengths of the jackets, which at the extreme is a whopping eight inches between the shortest Bedale and the longest Northumbria.

However, be advised that the old popper-stud liners obviously don't fit the new jackets because they take zip-in liners.

Also, the liners are sized in inches (same as jackets) - not SML.
I guess I was referring to these liners:

I missed what the OP said about a liner for the Border coat.

What jackets are those liners for?

I have some SML sized Barbour jackets, and they will definitely not take a zip in liner (or any liner for that matter).
The lines are sized s,m,l. I believe they are made for the shorter coats (Bedale, Beaufort, etc.). The medium fits a 40-42 coat for instance.

Barbour liner/ lining sizes

I have an old beaufort jacket in a size 44. I am struggling to find a snap in liner in that size. If I was to buy a size 46 does anyone know if the snaps match up. I can always get the lining taken in.

I'm really loathed to spend $6o for barbour to add zipper tracks in so that I can add one of the newer liners (another $100) when I can get a snap in liner from Ebay for significantly less.

Many thanks

I'm pretty sure that the liners are size specific, so I'd advise going for a size 44 rather than trying a 46.

I did see several snap-in liners on eBay recently, so you might be in luck! But do please check to make sure that the liner is the right one for the model of Barbour you have, as they're not interchangeable. I posted a list above, which should help.
