I found out that when you are wearing dress shirts or v neck sweaters, you aren't suppose to be wearing a v neck with a high V otherwise you see it and its sloppy. So many times i would do this or not wear any shirt underneath my sweater... yes i was foolish and did that.

From the advice of a few ppl here and particularly one person, i was told if you want to wear a dress shirt and have the collar open and have 1 or even 2 buttons open on the dress shirt, you have to wear a deep v neck t shirt otherwise it would show with the 1st and 2nd button off. Also told that for v neck sweaters if you aren't wearing a dress shirt underneath it, you should wear a deep v neck since a high V neck would show it and look bad.

I was recommended by the person to get this deep v neck

However, he told me if i wanted to wear a dress shirt and have 2 buttons open along with collar.. this wouldn't work because this v neck wouldn't have a V deep enough for it. So that means for this, assuming wearing a dress shirt, its only good if you have collar out and just 1 button off? Or is it just the collar? This would work fine if you just wear a v neck sweater right?

I then did research and looked for deep v neck shirts where you could wear it where the V is deep enough for anything as an undershirt. This is what i found and would like advice from anyone who has worn these.

1. 2xist Slim Fit Pime Deep V Neck - $22

This one looks nice and tight. Very deep v neck. Anyone have thoughts on this?

2. C-In2 Mens Core V Neck -$23This one looks really nice as well. This one looks like a regular white shirt as oppose to the other. one.

3. Canvas Unisex 4.2 oz. Jersey Deep V-Neck T-shirt

This one looks okay. Price is around $12 or so. The 2nd link i post here is more b/c the other listing doesn't show people actually wearing it so you can't see the picture that well. I do see people mention in the reviews that its way too long. Also its a unisex so that means this shirt is for men and women and it isn't for men only? Wouldn't that be an issue? Thus buying a small would be a men's small but a women's medium? This is really cheap at $12 and it looks okay.

4. https://www.underfitshirts.com/

I found this site when searching some article on deep v necks. Cost $25 a shirt but with discount its around $23.75. When you factor in shipping, it will cost $26 a shirt. But if you buy more, of course shipping is flat. Thus 2 shirts would cost $50 or so, so $25 a shirt. This site does seem to make the deep v neck look very nice. Anyone tried this shirt out before? I assume the fitting is accurate as small is small?

5. https://undershirtless.com/

Found this site as well when researching. Its around $26 a shirt if you buy one when you factor shipping. So if you buy 2 of them, its like $25 a shirt. Pictures does look good though and the site. However it does recommend you to order a size smaller than you are. So if i wear small for banana republic t shirts, then i have to get XS for this? Can someone tell me how the fitting is for this shirt if you bought it?

6. Hanes V Neck

Looks like a deep enough v neck? Its 100 percent cotton as oppose to another one i saw on amazon where its cotton and polyester. i assume never wear an undershirt thats polyester right? I did read a review where a person says its not deep enough for 2 buttons though... These are really cheap as its $20 or so for a pack of 6.

You are on the right track. I have both the C-IN2 Core and the Canvas. Both are excellent quality garments, with the C-IN2 perhaps a bit more reminiscent of the original USA made Jockey V-necks, which remains my gold standard. See the other thread on this issue for more comments.

How tall/weight are you and what size do ou ear for the c-in2 and the canvas? I read the canvas is very long. I wear small so should i go with xs with the canvas?

I am only 5'8" tall and yes, the Canvas is very long a little more fitted than the C-IN2, but fitted nicely, not tight. And, I have a 38" waist. The Canvas is an incredibly nice and elegant garment. I take a large in both brands.

Ok, what's the deal? :icon_scratch: You started 10 posts over the course of 2 days, each somehow dealing with undershirts or underwear. These questions/conversations could have been continued under the same thread. :pic12337:

Hey. So based on my height/weight, u probably recommend a small then right? Im going to get the small for the C-IN2 but for the canvas, i was considering XS because its very long. Do you tink thats bad idea or just go with the small? Also... is the canvas really an undershirt? I took a look and it isn't in the underwear/undershirt category.

Did you buy it online as well on amazon and or ebay? Any chance you know if its possible to buy the c-in2 in a 3 pack?

I think you should stick with a small in both because the Canvas is more fitted than the C-IN2. The longer length should not bother you - it doesn't me and I am only 5'8". I initially bought both the Canvas and the C-IN2 from amazon as test samples, but later found the Canvas at teestodifor.com at a better price. The C-IN2 is also readily available online for less than what I paid ($32.00) on amazon. I think I saw it for $23. Good luck
