I am looking to commission a single breasted, one button, peak lapel dinner jacket and trousers, as traditional as I can make it here in Beijing. I would like to have it made of black barathea and grosgrain, having read that such is the most classic choice that one can make as far as dinner jackets are concerned. My only difficulty is that my tailor has not heard of barathea, even when translated into Mandarin (which is simply a transliteration of the term - it comes out to 'balaxiyani'). As it will be up to me to locate the material and I have never seen actual barathea before, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could post an image that makes clear the weave of a barathea wool.

Thanks for any and all help,

Cheers,
