WONDERFUL VINTAGE REVERSIBLE TOPCOAT IN TWEED AND WOOL GABARDINE!

A beautiful rare and versatile coat!

Tagged 44R, but could work for a 42, depending on layering.

Measurements:

Chest: 23 1/2
Sleeve; c. 35 1/2 (measured like a shirt)
Shoulder: N/A (Raglan sleeves)
Length: 39 1/4

This is a terrific find--a vintage reversible topcoat, with one side classic tan wool gabardine and the other side Donegal tweed!

The tweed side is absolutely beautiful. It appears to be a classic grey-brown flecked Donegal tweed from a distance, but when you get very close to it you see that the base is actually tan and forest green, with orange, yellow, and blue flecks throughout.

The wool gabardine is a classic tan.

The coat is cut as a traditional single breasted topcoat with raglan sleeves to allow for freedom of movement. It has a single center hook vent and two deep slash handwarmer pockets. It is fully reversible, so could be worn as either a tweed topcoat or a classic single-breasted raincoat.

All of its buttons--on both sides--and original and intact.

When worn as a raincoat the collar presents as being lined with tweed; when worn as a tweed coat it is lined with wool gabardine.

Although there is no Union tag this is almost certainly Made in the USA, and likely from the 1960s.

The raincoat side does have some very faint blemishes, as shown, but these can't really be seen when it is worn. There is also a couple of loose stitches at the vent on the gabardine side. The tweed side is excellent. Overall, then, this is in Very Good/Excellent condition.

Asking just $49, or offer, boxed, shopped, and insured in the USA.
