I remember some years ago I was dating a woman who bought me socks, light colored, tanish. I told my dear friend Allen about this and he busted up laughing and said the following, "does she really think she can dress you better than you already dress".
So may answer is this, I do ask at times if I am unsure about how something might go, but generally (99%) of the time I am very confident in my selections.
