I just bought a pair of Fowles driving gloves. They are soft, but to the point where I fear they will fall apart before they can become appreciated. I only spent $20 on them, and intend to use them on a cross-country excursion that will cause me to end up in Arizona - a warm state to say the least.
In one of my vintage british cars they were a necessity. In the Toyota Corolla I now drive an affectation.
My gloves were Graham Hill signature editions from the old MG Mitten company of Pasadena.
Perfect for elbows out, muscle that walnut steering wheel to rack and pinion gears, double clutch down and drift the rearend out to press the 356 into oversteering and pass him on the hairpin on Mulholland in my Mini-Cooper S 1100CC
( Nothing peronable Silver- he looked like a chiropractor with to much money)
