I'm sure some here will now, but this question has been discussed many times over at StyleForum. HTH.Does anyone know who makes the Peel & Co shoes/boots for BB?

The latter.C&J or Alfred sargent.
Did he mention that's because they're made at the Peal factory now?One of the sales associates at 346 madison told me that cj hasnt made shoes for them in years
I assume you're kidding, right, Doc?Did he mention that's because they're made at the Peal factory now?
Just poking fun at a commonly held belief among Brooks employees.I assume you're kidding, right, Doc?
I know. Some will swear to it at gunpoint, while others more diplomatically concede that the shoes are manufactured in a "famous and well regarded Northhampton factory".Just poking fun at a commonly held belief among Brooks employees.
I had started a thread about a week ago on Brooks' Peal branded shoes. The shoe in the following link had been branded Peal on their website at that time, but is no longer so described.Very interesting ! not C & J or AS !
Who is going to own up to them !
That's the beauty! If you zoom in on ths picture the details in the writing inside the shoe are the giveaway:

The font used is very smilar to that used on ther G&G ready to wear range (found under the tongue) which are made at the Sargent factory. Also the number 89 can be found, 89 is a Sargent last.
If you look through the Sargent catalogue on Pediwear you'll see most of the styles.
Any of the shoemakers left in Northamptonshire will make any style to any specification, all have the equipment and expertise to attain this. I would say it's knowing who "really" made the shoes that makes us inquisitive to where they came from.Surely if Brooks want their shoes made to a certain quality spec, both C&J and AS are capable of making up to (or down to...) that spec, so it wouldn't matter...but I may well be wrong!
