I cannot bring myself to wear a cape, tophat, and cane with white tie but I probably COULD bring myself to wear gloves - what are the appropriate gloves to wear with white tie and do you wear them indoors and out or only one or the other?
Also, would a long single breasted overcoat in wool be acceptable to wear over the evening tails these days (in place of the cape)?
Oh - and also what fabric should the gloves be made of?
