Black is ok - I probably would go with Slate since it probably would look better with all colors.
Which color of formal gloves is the most versatile?
I'm considering investing in a pair of Fratelli Orsini leather gloves to wear on nights out at more upscale downtown lounges or to the theatre (I live in Chicago):
Most likely I'd be wearing them on slightly chilly fall/early spring evenings where a proper pair of winter gloves would be a bit too warm. Of the colors available, which would be the most versatile to wear with a charcoal or navy suit, or if I had the need to wear it, black tie?
Honestly, I'd be satisfied to own a pair of any of the colors at the link, though I'm worried that white may come off as ostentatious.

Noooooooooo..... The shoes must match the belt and the gloves!!!!And, yes, they can even be worn with black shoes if they harmonize with the rest of what you're wearing.
