I'm all about blazers these days. That, and trying to keep my family and I safe, and sane.

I have a navy hopsack jacket on the way, which will make my third and final blazer in my new size. It has dark horn buttons that I'd like to replace with antique silver. I already have one with gold, and one with smoked MOP type buttons. This will complete my small collection.

I've narrowed it down to three buttons, all available from Britex Fabrics. I could use some help in deciding as I like them all, so I've created a poll. Which would you choose? I'd love to hear some thoughts.

Some considerations:

I don't have any affiliations such as Ivy League school, military, etc. (what have I done with my life?!) but I do enjoy playing chess, which goes with the first option. I do also like the Polo buttons, but is it a big no-no to wear those on a non-RL jacket?

I am a fan of that style, but as mentioned I have one with smoked MOP already. I really like variety.

Although, I suppose I should have added a "none of the above/spoiled ballot" option.

I looked into the family crest option a while ago, but they're a bit costly for me at this point. I would eventually like to do that in hopes that it could be an inherited piece that would stay in the family for a long long time.

Well, of the options presented, the chess pieces button wins by a landslide. They are on order and I'll post a picture when they're added to the new blazer. Democracy in action!

I was going to suggest slaying some enemies and having the shape of their skulls custom crafted to some buttons, but that's not PC these days so...chess pieces. I like the symmetry.

They're actually really nice buttons. Nicer even than they appeared in the photo. They're domed which I didn't realize, and they seem to suit the hopsack material nicely.
