I can't help but think there are better options than these 2 choices, but if you will be using Monday through Friday, I suspect the lace up would be a better choice. It will wear dressup and down better than the loafer.

Just my opinion

Check out the AE Belmont model - $270 at your JAB website. Maybe you could find it in a better deal elsewhere. The Bradley is cool, but at $525 more than you want to spend, but you never know what you might find on eBay.

The Blemont is $243 here:

Would brown Belmonts go well with wool trousers and the occasional khaki and polos.

I'd go with the loafers. They seem overpriced however.
I'd check the AE "Shoebank" website where they sometimes offer deep
discounts. Also, other online shoe retailers, eg Zappos offer good prices.

IMHO, Allen Edmonds seems to be going the way of Brooks Brothers,
offering merchandise that increasingly tries to be trendy, but usually
misses, while the classics wither with a proliferation of rubber soles.

What do you think of the Belmont?

By calling the Shoe Bank in Port Washington, WI and asking about closeouts in your size, you should have at least a few good options for $129. Much better than buying the Belmonts for $243. You could have two pairs of shoes instead of just one.

Forget the ebay site, call them. They can ship the shoes anywhere you want.

I will give them a call today. I hope I find something good. I'm sure 9.5D is a common size.
