Hello all,

In recent months I have had difficulty trying to find stores near me that sell mens suits in 38L. I'm 17 so I don't have a big budget ($200-$350). I also am tall (6' 2'') and VERY SLIM (28''-31'' waist, 15 1/4'' neck, 33''-35" chest) . Besides men's warehouse, are there any recomendations of stores near Springfield, MA, and/or Madison, Connecticut where I could find a suit?

Thanks,

Oldfashionedyouth

p.s. My style is modern-flashy. Eg. I bought a striped purple velvet blazer from nordstroms.

Would something OTR from H&M or express fit the bill. They specialize in modern cuts, and have a full range of sizes.

It goes without saying that the quality wouldn't be a strongpoint of these suits.

Also, if you check on sales j.crew or Banana republic could fit your price range as well.
Good luck.

I don't think there are a lot of options for you in that price range. You're a 38L in shoulders, but you have a much thinner chest. It's very hard to find 38 longs let alone anything smaller in a long, and you won't fit very will into a 38L with a 35 chest. Clearly, your shoulders will fit. However, the suit will be very big in the body.

What do you need a suit for? If you don't absolutely need one, I wouldn't do it, or I'd wait until you have more money to get a better fit. Although, you might not be doing growing, so spending any extra money on a suit seems like a bad idea.

If you absolutely need a suit with that budget and sizes, try Claiborne Wool Suit Separates at JC Penney. Please note, they are not the best suits.

Part of the challenge for a teenager allocating $ for clothing is the fact that you may only be that size for a limited time period. A funny thought crossed my mind- Jos.Banks is always running "buy one get 2/3 absolutely free" sales. Do the "absolutely free" suits have to be the same size as the "full" price suit? If not, you can team up with two friends and make a group purchase.
