I'm graduating college in a few weeks. Are the cap toes pictured too much, or would they be appropriate for commencement followed by going out to dinner/ drinks? I'll be wearing black dress pants, and later in the day a mid gray sport coat along with everything else.
With black trousers black shoes make sense. I prefer the cap toe. It's a better looking shoe and although more conservative it seems to match the occasion.
