I found this AE shoe on the Yahoo Auction site from Japan (see photos below). I think it's an incredible looking shoe and strongly resembles the Weston demi-chasse (perhaps even better). Unfortunately, I don't understand Japanese so I could not read the description.

Can anyone identify this AE model? Which last?

Do they still offer this model?

It's the Walton in chili.
Rubber soles or topy were added along with new heels.
One of my favorite shoes. It's on the #3 last. AE's widest similar to Alden's big Barrie last.
With that last you should go a size smaller, for example 10E to a 10D.
It''s been discontinued for a couple years. Too bad because it was an AE staple for many years.

Any idea what they sold for, or a link to the auction? I have 2 pairs (black and chili) NIB that I bought but have never worn (size 9D), and I'm going to sell them at some point.

Thanks

Of course it's been discontinued! AE does that to all its classic models. However, thanks for the info. The only current model that looks close is the DelRay, but not quite. I guess I will keep an eye on eBay and perhaps one of these old models willl pop up one of these days.

AE made this same shoe with a Vibram sole for Faconnable a couple of years ago. I bought them new in the box in brown suede from an AE auction for $39. I later got them in chili from eBay for a a similar low price. This model shows up with some regularity and Faconnables don't get bid up too much on eBay, seems people don't recognize them as being AE made. You might want to search Ebay for Faconnable shoes periodically.
