Looking for possible suggestions as to why this jacket seems to bow out so much in the hips compared to previous jackets I've owned. The waist suppression seems to be perfect, and the jacket is very form fitting in the chest. Shoulders fit me relatively fine, I just can't figure out why I have this weird silhouette of an extremely large midsection, even though it's quite suppressed. Any thoughts on why it looks so odd from the side profile (aka HUGE) and bows out considerably in the hips? Is this able to be altered down? Also, what's up with my pants?

Thanks

Too tight. You can tell by the horizontal ripples in the low back.
Thanks. Do you know what the specific reasoning is that the jacket is "sticking out" from the side view so largely? Is this a fix a matter of just letting out the waist a small amount? As you can see, the hips "flare out" at the bottom quite distinctly.

The shoulders and chest aren't awful. The rest is very problematic. Too tight, too short by 1/2" to 3/4", jacket waist too high. Pockets look as if they might be too high also. Pants are unfortunate too, too long, weird fit in thighs and I suspect seat. In general doesn't fit your build. You don't need alterations, you need a different suit.

Is this mail order MTM?

There’s a reason we use the term “drape” when discussing certain items of clothing. A suit jacket is one of those items.

This garment does not drape. It clings! Too much waist suppression and for all of the focus on that, the right sleeve appears to be twisted.

You can have a nice silhouette without having the jacket cling. Consider letting it out a bit and taking another round of pics. This time, stand naturally the button the jacket.

The clinging appearance especially in the trousers demonstrates why the trend to putting everyone in a skinny fit just doesn't work. You can tailor a slim fitting suit on a slim person without having the thing stick to your body.

"The waist suppression seems to be perfect." I'm sorry, it's not. It's too much for your build. You may have a very slim waist, but your otherwise normal hips are giving you that skirted appearance to the jacket. Contrary to other opinions, I'm fine with the rest of the jacket details, they're a matter of personal preference. But if you have a tailor let out the side seams of the jacket I think you'll be a lot happier and it'll look a lot better too.
