I am living in the Boston area. I have a Moss tuxedo that is mostly polyester. I am looking to replace it with a better quality, pure wool tuxedo. I do not have a lot of money. I would be willing to go up to $500 for an OTR suit or $1000 for made to measure.
I should mention that I prefer suits on the slimmer side.

I was going to send you to the J. Crew men's shop in Copley Place, but it's closed. They still sell formal wear separates online, but you wouldn't get the assistance with sizing that you'd probably want in a situation like this. Maybe if you go to one of the stores that carries men's suiting, you can try on other suit items to nail down the fit and size.

It looks like Keezer's is still around in some form in Cambridge, so you might want to check them out. Both Indochino and SuitSupply have locations on Newbury Street now; I have no personal experience with either, and what I have read/heard has been mixed, but it might be worth your time to visit them, especially since you say you'd prefer something on the slimmer side.
