Any suggestion? I have a couple of navy blazers and a Irish linen sportcoat. I'm thinking of acquiring one or two more jacket for warm season.

I own an assortment of linen sportscoats, as well as two safari jackets. I find they're handy for work (they're modeled after a military battle dress jacket of old) and travel. They're also fairly close in style to a normal sportscoat, so I can wear them to the office on casual days.

Yes, I recognize part of the appeal of a sportscoat is to avoid "casual" appearance when one wants to dress down, but a safari jacket blends practicality with fashionability.

Single and double breasted navy blazers, with gold buttons of course. It's a staple for me, along with anything seersucker. I quite like a tan seersucker sportcoat with black trousers too. (wear it with a striped knit tie and you're good to go)

Clearly the ubiquitous navy blazer tops the list and as Mannix pointed out, seersucker is 'golden' during the summer months. You might add a poplin suit, in khaki or olive, to your list!

Cotton in navy blue or even in a different colour, you could wear it from spring to early autumn. It looks smart to wear with wool trousers and then you can go casual with jeans.

If you want to stick with navy

A grey option is more versatile then navy in my opinion and you should be something you should have in your rotation.

It may just me, but Americans tend to overbroad with the traditional navy blazer, I remember a post where someone claimed to own four.

Whatever you do, ensure both sportcoats not navy.

My goal for summer fashion is to match Tony Curtis' db navy blazer outfit in "Some Like it Hot"...minus the hat. Sorry I couldn't find a decent picture.

I wear sb and db navy blazers a lot in the summer. Linen versions are quite nice.
