Love the DB, you wear it well. The weather in NYC continues to be abnormally sunny and warm, to the point where a hat and an overcoat are superfluous. I am attending an early evening party at the Frick this evening, and the invitation called for "cocktail attire". I believe that it is allowed for me to drink a cocktail (or two) wearing what I am wearing.

Included in this posting are a couple of "lifestyle photos" from my dinner out on Monday with two sartorially-minded friends - scenes from downtown, one from the Odeon, the other from the Oculus.

While I love waistcoats, both matched and odd, I always preferred single-breasted ones, but I'll be damned if that didn't just suddenly change a bit looking at these photos.
Very sharp. Phineas Cole and Zegna strike again! The weather in NYC this afternoon is partly overcast, and milder than is normal for early March. I have an in-store event to attend this evening at the uptown Armoury, and I plan to make a full afternoon visit to the Upper East Side, going to the Met and the Frick before the event starts.
Wishing to look as if I can afford to shop at the Armoury, I've dressed up a bit, though in a more low key fashion than yesterday, and I've opted for a flat cap instead of a fedora, as I'll be indoors a good deal of the afternoon, and do not wish to bother with the coat checks at either museum (or the Armoury, for that matter). The cap will fold up nicely and go in the scarf pocket of today's overcoat.

I always look forward to your posts, you've got a fantastic and elegant sense of style. I bought a couple of pair of suspenders after seeing some of your outfits and realizing I've tried them out. Going to have to have suspender buttons sewn into more of my pants now, I was surprised at how comfortable they were and how well they worked. The weather in NYC this afternoon is partly overcast, and milder than is normal for early March. What happened to your tie? You don't wear them on casual nights? To prove that I don't live my entire life in suits, something casual from last night - walking to and from dinner in what was supposed to have been rain, which turned out to be a light drizzle. The shoes have Dainite soles, hence their use in the rain . . .
