Burberry has always been a trad staple since the trenches in France in WWI. Timeless style in outerwear that was often copied, but the copies never worked for a purist.
I understand that there are'nt enough of us left that buy a new trench coat every decade to survive. Smart marketing has caused them to veer off into things like plaid thongs, baby bibs, et al, and it seems to work for them.
My question of you, is does their present trendy direction make their traditional outerwear somewhat obsolete ? if so what substitute works for you ? Many thanks, Bill
