Western dress style versus the world.

Has anyone else found comfot in wearing Indian style Korta Pajama. So far I have not yet summoned up the courage to wear them in public but for wearing around the house and garden on a hot day, they are marvellous. This is a wonderfully comfortable outfit which can range from casual to formal, but sadly on a caucasian such as myself it might be construed as a little too odd or eccentric walking down a city street. How do others feel about dressing either casually or formally in cosmopolitan styles. Anyone else have a Nehru jacket??
