Hi gents,

Just looking down at myself, I see I snagged my nice navy grenadine tie on something, at some point. Its toward the bottom and not overly visible, but its still a bummer. I dislike how easily ties can be damaged.

What are your thoughts on damaged or "rough around the edges" ties? Do they completely ruin the look for you? Or is a little fraying or snags no big deal?

Depends upon how bad it is.

Tip: You may be able to pull the snag through to the back with a crochet hook.

In my business days, fine ties were a weakness (One of many!) the maiden voyage for which inevitably involved wearing it to a business lunch where, equally inevitably, it would be christened with a large dollop of something gooey! 😭

Pray tell, where might one get one or three or four of those snazzy little gadgets. What great 'mystery stocking stuffers' they would make this coming Christmas holiday, but at what cost? LOL. :icon_scratch:
You can get them at Walmart, Amazon, Ebay amongst other places. $5 at Walmart.
Yup, my initial Google inquiry listed at least six buying options from Amazon.

What about other heavily textured weaves such as diamond weave and hopsack? Are they any good?
I have no idea unfortunately. Only have experience doing this with a Grenadine.

I'd e-mail Hober though, he probably knows.
The dog grabbed a silk knit tie I was wearing a while back and stretched it almost to my knees. No question that I had to replace it.
Ooh, what breed did you replace it with?
