I have a great pair of vintage Walker shell cordovan wingtip shoes. Anybody know anything of this company? Thanks
Could be 'British Walkers', which was the principle brand name for the E. E. Taylor factory in Wilton, Maine - if it goes back to the 60's......Cole Haan was the minor brand they used back then.

There was also a B.B. Walker Shoe Co. based in Asheboro, NC that branded shoes "Walker". In earlier years BBW made a variety of department store shoes. Would be surprised if they made genuine cordovan, but eons ago cordovan was not as rare a commodity. In later years Walker specialized in boots, industrial footwear and govt. contracts. I think the manufacturing company is now defunct and the name remains in Asheboro as apparently just an outlet for offshore made roughwear and western boots and other maker's brands. Could be mistaken.
