I have been looking for a nice vintage bowtie (in black of course) to wear with formal wear for my upcoming wedding. All I can find though are two inches in width. I'm told the best range for bowtie width, meaning, the width that will always be in style is between 2 1/4 and 2 3/4 inches. I really want a 2 1/4 width but can't find a quality vintage one. being that I am a smaller guy anyway, could I get away with the 2 inch width? Any ideas? Or does anyone have a 2 1/4 formal bowtie they want to part with?

Call Keezer's in Cambrige Massachusetts: (617)547-2455.

They have draws and draws full of Brooks Bros. self tie bow ties. All kinds of sizes. I got my one and a half inch bat-wing tie there for $5 I think. They could probably ship you one.

I bought a pretty nice tie here once it was about three inches, way too big for me. I think I paid about $30.00 for it. I ended up giving it to my brother in law.
