Can I add a vest to my 1 button shawl tux? currently wear a cummerbund, but I don't like the darn thing since it rolls around too much.
I currently wear a wing collar with it, but would like to get a point collar and a vest for a second look.
Must the vest be made from the same material as the jacket and pants?
which combinations of vest/collar are appropriate?
Also, I've think I've seen vintage single button tuxes with a button hole on both sides and a pair of buttons on a short silk cord.
I thought about asking my tailor to add a button hole on the other side and use my spare button to make the connector. Is this a correct option on a one button shawl?
