Hi all,

I am looking for some advice regarding underwear. I tend to wear H&M trunks but have lately been having some issues with the waistband being highly uncomfortable. After a day of work I can see the imprints of my underwear in my skin all around the waistband. I have tried buying a bigger size (normally I wear Medium so I tried Large) but found that the trunks move around a lot, which makes me think that Large would be too big of a size for me. Being 5ft10 and 70kg from what I have seen on the internet Medium would be the recommended size as well. I have also tried boxer shorts but the little to no support they give me makes it feel highly uncomfortable. I know H&M may not be the best quality and I wouldn't mind investing in some more expensive underwear, I am just looking for some advice on what others would suggest. I do like the style of trunks so perhaps some trunks that are a bit wider around the waistband / more flexible? It sounds like a bit of a silly question but it has been causing me some issues lately and rather than buying tons of different underwear to try out I thought I would ask around and see if anyone perhaps has some advice on this topic.
Any advice is hugely appreciated.

Swiss-made are the best, most comfortable 100% cotton trunks I have ever worn. They keep their shape/size all day long without stretching out like other cotton trunks do, so they feel as 'secure' at the end of the day as when you first put them on. They are hardly the cheapest, but they are super-comfortable, last forever and can be found on sale from time to time. No problem with shrinkage, so order your actual size.

I recommend Marks & Spencers cotton trunks, £6 per pair. I rotate mine, wearing each pair but once a fortnight, discarding and replacing every two years.

I've been happy with Calvin Klein cotton boxer-briefs for years, but recently tried Uniqlo Airism and a similar pair from Lululemon. They do the job and I will continue to wear them, but I find I'm just more comfortable in cotton. (Have several Hanes cotton boxer-briefs, too, but they don't have the quality of the CK and don't hold their shape.)
