I own these two jackets, and this denim.

I was really looking forward to winning an auction and getting biege taft vikings, but i made a big mistake and sadly didn't get them....

So do you have any ideas on what I should look at to fit both of these jackets? Obviously casual, I don't want to pay over $300. I was thinking dark suede, but i'm new to this so you can probably give me way better opinions. I'm a 22 year old college student.

I thought these two looked nice, I don't know how it'd work with the fusion field coat, but their versatility seems decent.

I’m afraid the look you’re going for is not one that is fancied by many here.

Interesting boots. I’m not a fan of the style but I’ve never heard of the brand.
Just curious why a company that uses leather to make boots goes through the trouble of pointing out that the fur is faux. Unless it’s to save money.

More to the point, however, I don’t care for either jacket. I think a Barbour will work much better. Either a Bedale or the Beaufort.

However, the lad already owns the two jackets pictured, so that wasn't much help, was it?

Spinach, can't be of much help either because of your age. Or rather, because of mine, but a couple of things: the sort of gear you're showing, l figured young guys just put that stuff on without thinking about what goes with what, so good on you for giving it some thought. On the practical side, that cushiony thing on the upper rear of the Viking, it's usually covered with very thin leather or vinyl, wears thru quickly, can't easily be repaired and looks sh***y bad if not. On the other pair, that light-colored side sole will stay light colored for about an hour.

The final jacket you showed, I'd be wearing that in a New York minute. It has a baseball jacket feel or, from another time, a panel jacket. Very smart. Share some info on that, if you wouldn't mind.

Sure, I am glad you like it

I take the red tag off, of course.

Thank you for your wisdom, I've never considered a few of the points you made, and yeah it'd be a pain to deal with those suede boots in any adverse conditions. Reminds me of how i'd always avoid rocks on the playground in elementary school in my faux suede shoes that i had

There are Thursday boots, but I'm really afraid of their quality, and their dishonesty when it comes to their advertisements. I'm completely confident that you will not be getting what you see, lots of photoshop professional photography etc.

I'm still really interested in an olive green suede boot. Tafts green is a bit too bright.

It's a shame that I missed this sale:

could have purchased these boots for 100 with the code.

I'm just looking to balance two military jackets casually, so i'm trying to avoid boots that are sophisticated unnecessarily. So far I feel that suede is more casual, so I am looking for a suede boot, and darker suedes look more rugged. All black doesn't feel very versatile, unless it's something like those AE's that I linked. I just don't like all black boots.

The purpose is to save costs, I'm not that interested in boots above 350. Taft is marketed towards people like me (probably) who want an improvement over Thursday boots but who don't want to spend $500 either. All i need is a dark green / dark grey suede from them.

Thank you for making me aware of that style of jacket, If i did some looking I bet I could find one that i really like. They're more versatile than the one I own, but I won't be buying a jacket any time soon anyway. Need a single, versatile pair of boots.

I don't think either are overly sophisticated. I think the darker brown would probably work better with either jacket.

Sorry, I don't see a suede boot linked unless I'm missing something. Brown suede, however, would look sharp.

Yeah I didn't link them, I didn't want to spam. Here:

this is what you actually get... bad production quality & dishonesty:

Wolverine makes a suede 1000 mile boot. At the top of your price range but a solid investment. I have a pair in regular brown leather and those at least can be found on sale. Red wing iron ranger is similar and I know I have seen them before in suede. Aldens are going to be above your range new but sometimes it is possible to get factory seconds on discount.

Good choice. Very substantial appearing. They should be since they cost five bucks more than my third-hand Volvo. Consider keeping a pair of flip flops handy in case the house is a fire because the Oak Streets look like they'd take about a half hour to jam into and lace up. Nice boot. I'd be jealous, if l wore stuff on my feet.

Those are one great pair of kicks. I'm sure you will get long and comfortable wear from them and be quite happy with them! ;)
Thank you, it was totally unplanned for. Going with the waves and taking opportunities as they came really benefited me this week.

I'm really glad to hear that, thanks. Haha, I didn't have to pay much don't worry I'm not spoiled or anything, I'm just really lucky... spoiled by chance I guess.
You too can be, just look out for deals on ebay, and put in offers even if they seem ridiculous, you might just win.
