I'm going to order some made-to-measure dress shirts. My idea would be to get a couple of white shirts to be used as "better" shirts, i.e. for evening parties and other special occassions.
What do you think of twill and herringbone patterns on single-coloured shirts? Do they make the shirt less formal, or more? Is it too dandyish, considering that I want to appear "official" and not "trying too much"?
I know it's just a detail, but I'd rather do it right.
Any thoughts?
