I found this a little humorous. I have been wearing trad Brooks since 1980 when I graduated from college. Just last week in Cleveland, I was in a Marriott having breakfast and the waitress said, "Sir, I just love your tie!" (it was a Brooks #1 in red, navy and white) Never heard comments like that 3-4 years ago. I always had ladies tell me, "You could use a little updating on your tie collection Joe." BS... Little did she know I bought it in 1981 or 1982 for interviewing. (have several of the same tie) I have never moved away from trad rep and foulards. No matter how much prodding from old girlfriends to gravitate to ties with little Tobasco bottles or fish on them, I refused. Less expense and a much richer look in my opinion.
