So the store made a mistake. Remarkable that in your whole life you have only encountered perfection. Your life is a paragon of perfection too, eh?
A more measured approach would be to see how the store handles this.
Perhaps Brooks would be glad to be done with you?
As you can certainly tell, I find these threads bashing Brooks Brothers tiresome. The store isn't what it was a few decades ago, but what is?
I've had my fun kidding the OP in this thread, but now I'll play it straight-
Yes, it's become something of a cliche for men to note with a frown that BB isn't what it used to be. Posts like that make me go, "What, again?"
And I generally believe that it isn't sporting to publicly chastise a merchant for a blunder without first giving the merchant a reasonable chance to resolve the problem.
But there are mistakes, and then there are mistakes. Some of them bizarre, some of them just dumb. The OP is wearing a mistake that qualifies as both; it hits a new low on the Mistake-O-Meter. (Or a new high?) Anyway, it makes the meter go "Ding!" Therefore, it is appropriate that the OP would share this particular experience on a clothing forum. Let's face it: the photo he posted is visually arresting.
I don't really need to read yet again another post from someone who is disgruntled at BB because he can't find the same merchandise and receive the same service that would have been on full display at BB's Madison Avenue store in 1959.
However-
A man orders a presumably brand-new sport coat, only to find that an employee had boxed up and shipped what was obviously a dramatically-altered item? Not one of us doubts that BB will make things right. In the meantime, the incident is just so visually bizarre that it warrants a post in a clothing forum.
The OP isn't giving us the same old, same old "There's a loose thread on my new BB shirt, dagnabbit!" post.
