Good Afternoon,

I just purchased a tie from The Tie Bar. Great company and I have purchased a few ties from them in the past. However, my last purchase was likely in the 2013 era.

This tie I ordered was supposed to be Extra Long. I received it and it appears to be standard length and so narrow it looks like something a 19 year old working at a bank would wear.
Has The Tie Bar been dropping their traditional styles as of late?

Well, check your receipt. On the web site it will say something like "3.25 in. Extra Length - 63 in." and other sizes. Did you measure the tie you got? Did you get what you ordered?

3piece has good advice. I thought neckties were trending wider, but then I don't follow trends!

The tie is marked as 3 1/4" and designated as an Extra Long. It just appears to be so much narrower than my Brooks Brothers ties.

You clearly have no knowledge of fine men's clothing. Haha!

I am glad to hear ties are trending wider. I much prefer that look.

Classic ties don’t trend. They’re always in the range of 3 to 3.5 inches.
