This is really well done. I've never found any pictures of the paddock cut to look flattering until now.
I've seen mainly drawings, and of course, they've looked marvelous. And in my minds eye I can see a few old photos from the magazine Gentry with fellows wearing this cut an looking pretty good. But the above suit is indeed one of the nicest in every aspect. About the only thing I'd want done differently are the legs of trousers. I want the thighs a bit fuller, then a good deal more taper from the knee. This is the so-called straight-leg which became a half measure on most tailored trousers during the bell-bottom era.

Beautiful suit! Love the cut, color, and material.

What makes it specifically a Paddock cut?

Cheers,

BSR
Peak summed it up basically.

The drawings from things like Apparel Arts look great. The real world execution, not so much. I never did like JFK's ultra-low stance paddock cut.

Curious to see the Gentry photos if possible.

Agreed on fuller thighs with more taper below that, was wondering why the legs draped funny.

I found a picture of the back too, and it's also well done.

I managed to find his blog and it's clear he definitely looks to AA drawings for inspiration.
