Correct! I was continuing the theme of using just the first letters of key words.
I did not have a chance to get into all the particulars of this thread, but wanted to mention another term I've begun to hear recently, which is "Boomer".
As you are probably aware, it is supposed to refer to baby boomers, ie. those born in a period of ~10-12years post WWII.
I've mostly heard it expressed with a tone of contempt (why?), but I am unclear on the connotations. So my reaction is usually to think "Huh? I wonder what on earth that is supposed to mean???"
I'm not quite a boomer, but someone who I have never met and do not know I think called me that on the internet, again my reaction is "Huh ? ? ? ? ".
But I can't work myself up about it enough to really care too much.

It's a tone of resentment by the young who always have resented and been contemptuous of those older than they. I know I certainly was when I was in my twenties until I realized I was referring to the Greatest Generation. I took it all back. Whether Gen Z will, matters not a whit.

Baby boomers were born from 1946 to 1964. That’s 19 years (if you go by the number of years in a row) post World War II. There’s two parts.
The first part, simply the Baby boomer generation, from 1946 to 1954, due to the consistent increase in the number of babies born each year. The there’s the second part, also known as Generation Jones, from 1955 to 1964. This is due to a fluctuation of the number of babies born each year.
Each year from 1946 to 1954 had more babies born than each year from 1955 to 1964. All of what I mentioned about the two parts of the Baby Boomer generation was determined by a man or woman (or one of each) whose last name was Jones.

... and those born just before that, as my brother and I in '42 and '45, are known as War Babies. (As those born during the Trump years will be known as Hell Babies.). Meanwhile, back to the actual purpose of why I started this thread...

Perhaps, but then what would we call babies born during the Biden Administration? Pulverizing inflation; trillion and a half dollar budget deficits; enormous crime spikes in cities across the U.S. (typically led by Democrats); the sexualizing/mutilation of children and the racializing of nearly everything serving to tear us apart socially; the refusal to protect our borders which has allowed two million people to enter our country illegally; the Soviet/Nazi style relationship between Democrats, the media and Big Tech that promotes distortions, lies and censorship of opposing views (even when those views are demonstrably true) on nearly all topics; the crazed mandates, pernicious lockdown policies and blind/dishonest pushing of COVID vaccines that have proven to be far from "safe and effective," incompetent leadership in nearly every executive department and finally, the Biden Administration's illogical intervention in an Eastern European war (without bothering to explain or even mention the intricacies of the underlying causes of the war) that has caused major economic harm to the U.S. and has taken us dangerously close to the brink of nuclear war, even though American security was/is not at stake.
Trying to think of something worse than hell, but can't. Maybe you can, Peak, since you have the magical ability to politicize a thread on actor Terence Stamp.
P.S. - My politics tend to be in line with those of Senator Rand Paul (but especially his dad Ron) and Representative Thomas Massie, so please don't attack me as if I were some sort of blind Trump supporter.

Well, you should've read it; those two minutes may have helped you gain a sense of fairness and understanding. When you sneakily "toss off" a line that is in actuality insidiously political and serious - and you know it - you shouldn't be surprised by the blowback.

I guess we're all fortunate that we have you as the arbiter of what is innocuous and disparaging. Who needs insight, feelings, general experience and the obvious meaning of the written word when we have you as our guide?
