No problem, but they will probably be clip on's (which do not have the same class as button type), if the trousers have belt loops.
Others may disagree: "If one has belt loops on one's trousers, that is so you can wear a belt, which helps keep your pants up. Suspenders serve the same purpose. So wearing suspenders on trousers that have belt loops, a purist will tell you, is absolutely absurd and worthy of mockery."
Mockery be damned, wear what you want.
(But no belt!)

When I order MTM trousers, I always order them with suspender buttons and the tailor always includes a strip of belt loop material in case I change my mind.

I did a custom suit at MWH to replace the atrocious navy suit I had before. apparently, all of their pants come with belt loops even for custom. So I asked to have buttons sewn on the inside for suspenders. Plus I got a new wool dress pants, and had buttons on the inside as well.

I prefer to wear trousers without loops with suspenders. However, if they have loops, and I chose to wear suspenders, I don't snip them off. ;)

When I had a tailor making my clothes, I got all of the trousers for dressier suits made without them. But I can recall both a saxony and tweed for which I specified loops, as I might occasionally wish to wear them with a belt, or wear them separately without a jacket.

I've slowly started to add suspender buttons to all of my suit trousers. I committed to suspenders only on one and had the belt loops removed. I have to say I love the cleaner look this creates. But I also want the option of belt OR suspenders so i'll probably leave the belt loops on most of them.

When I started on Wall Street in the '80s, there were still many serious Ivy dressers and their suits had belt loops and suspender buttons. Also, the Ivy stores - Brooks, Press, Gorsarts - made their RTW suits with both (at least to the best of my memory).

My narrow point is that I think suits with belt loops and suspender buttons was an Ivy-era norm. The look, looks fine to me. I also like side tabs sans belt loops but that's another discussion.
