Just heard about this product called SpenceUp. Suspenders made from ties.

Thoughts?

At least it's a valid use for skinny ties.
I was wondering what Max Baer Jr. would come up with next for that purpose. Interesting. This is different but similar.
Upon reconsideration, after watching the video, it is a young couple with newborn twins. So I wish them well. Maybe use the ties to make those things that holds babies in front of the wearer or a nice shoulder holster for a very light firearm. Great idea to recycle the dime a dozen old ties, but I'm not sure as braces looks good. Perhaps as real suspenders, you know, on the legs. Or unfold them and sew a few together to make really snazzy bandanas. Or some cool hat bands. Or add some elastic and make those arm things the guy in the photo is wearing. Roll them into snappy shoe laces?

But what do I know. I'm old. Maybe this can be positioned as an anti-establishment statement and will catch on with the subversives within the suit wearing crowd or perhaps it will be a hit with the non-suit wearing crowd.
I meet a lady making purses out of 4" ties, that was a good use.
As the wearing of ties continues on the path of it's eventual demise, reincarnation of those ties as fashionable braces does seem to offer an appealing future option. While not overly impressed with the metal clips to secure the reincarnated ties to one's britches, I do like and appreciated the promised viability of the leather trim at potential stress points! Good luck with your new company. ;)
I like the look for operators who need the support for their technical security clothing.

It looks a bit aggressive for the average guy.

I also have never really seen the traditional architecture of suspenders as being less than ideal for men. For more busty women, I can understand as the straps slip to the sides and looks odd. But seeing a woman in suspenders is as common as seeing a fish on a bicycle.

Cheers,

BSR

To a certain extent, there will always be a market for all dress wear and formal wear, bespoke and otherwise (including ties). However, this market will never again be anywhere near what it once was and will forever be a niche.

Forever is a long time. Fortunately, none of us will be around to confirm the veracity of your supposition. :)

Not for me. I already have one or two pairs of suspenders--and yes, these are real suspenders here in the United States--and I don't need any more.

Odd design; I wonder if they're a lot more comfortable than normal suspenders.

I wish them luck, but if you do the math, how many people will need to be in the market for multiple pairs of suspenders for this company to be successful for years into the future?
Here are purses made from sewing ties together purse and another coincidentally, it is someone up here in Winnipeg.
I can understand the appeal of this, but I'd rather have my silk ties and pocket squares end up as lingerie :)

And we have a winner.

Now there's a creative idea @Color 8!
