I need some ideas for sport coats (not suits), mostly for every day wear. I currently have:

Navy Blazer worsted wool with metal buttons
Black texture blazer
Tan Camel Hair
Dark Brown Corduroy
Dark grey herring bone
Tan herring bone
Khaki sport jacket
Natural color Linen blazer
Tan and blue window pane

Most of these are solids. This is mostly because I seemed to have a problems with bigger patterns like plaid and generally prefer subtle patterns. I was thinking of some tweed with a pattern like Donegal tweed. Ideas?

I picked up this tweed from Orvis in late spring and can't wait for Fall to take it for a spin. I have other herringbone tweeds as you have, but the subtle pattern over this one makes it different enough to me to make it into my rotation. Also its (mostly) unlined so although tweed is seasonal as mentioned, I think this may make it wear a little lighter and be wearable earlier in the season.

I think an unconscious need for longer tweed season is what drove me to the PNW. Right now it's 87º headed for 97º but July is three quarters over and September comes. I shall be so happy.

My most favourite jacket. Not Tweed, but Cashmere herringbone with a subtle windowpane.
Like Sarge, I can't wait until the weather gets a little cooler....

Lovely! We can just call it a cashmere tweed! ;)

Didn't see a Prince of Wales check anywhere mentioned. It is one of my favorites and pairs well with solid ties.
Would any of these do?

Thank you for the suggestions. I don't think Hounds Tooth is going to work for me, but the other ideas are workable.

Funny, after seeing Flanderian's photo, I realized I have a cashmere blend jacket with a simiar pattern as the green one. Now I just have to locate it :).
