Hello, I’ve been wearing felt fedoras, Akubra and one Stetson, for a while now but I need a summer hat. I’d like to keep it under $100 for sure and less if possible. I prefer a taller-crowned fedora style hat with minimal crown tapering. I’d like something that won’t fall apart after a year or two. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Under a hundred bucks?

Capas coconut straw or Stetson Open Road.

To avoid misunderstanding you should look up definitions of modern hat materials. The words “Panama” and even “straw” are used rather liberally.

The Capas coconut is I believe natural and very good for hot weather and things like golf. The Open Road is “Shantung” and coated but a decent substitute for actual Panama hat.
