Ladies and Gentlemen,

A coworker of mine has given me 2 waistcoats one made of a suede and one made of doeskin, both of which are bespoke (A&S for those that must know), but luckily for me he has outgrown. Both are in excellent condition altough they are slightly too big for me across the back and fit well with regards to length, I think so at least.

I have never wore waistcoats, but given the cost (FREE!) I feel I should undertake this adventure. Given the material and the quality of them should I take them to my regular tailor to be altered, who for the past half dozen years has been excellent and prompt or should I seek other arrangements? Also, I am not familiar with the precise manner in which they should fit.

A little needed background. I wear very conservative suits to work (charcoals and navys, with and without pinstipes, etc.) and don't feel I should wear them with said suits in my enviroment (banking). Mostly I will be wearing them with odd jackets on casual fridays (I know!) or on weekends.

Thanks in advance for you help,

Tom
