So,

My personal style I use a lot of graphic tees (geek style) Star Wars, Batman, Marvel etc. I tend to go for classy vintage graphic tees which I like to think look good teaing with distressed jeans, skinny or slim fit jeans and hi/low top sneakers. I recently acquired a varsity jacket with a simple ‘Masters of the Universe’ graphic on it. So, my question…Is it ok to team up a simple graphic tee with a jacket with a graphic as long as the two look well together and don’t clash?

I guess my general rule is one "attention piece" per ensemble.

So if I had a vintage Marvel tee (or whatever) I would wear it with dark jeans (I just always prefer dark indigo denim), and maybe a simple kind of sneaker (like an Adidas Samba or an Onitsuna Tiger Mexico 66), and if it's cool maybe a Baracuta jacket, classic leather jacket, or maybe even a simple field jacket of some kind.

Think: would you wear an LA Raiders tee shirt with a vintage Houston Oilers jacket? I mean you *could*, but isn't that kind of too much messaging?

The only exception I would make might be at something like Comic Con, where it's acceptable to be a walking fanplosion; dressing for the occasion is always "okay".
