I don't see any difference in comfort between the Commando and leather soles. I like the Commando on my boots but prefer leather soles on my shoes.
Stick with Leather Or Should I Go Commando?
The "Dumb Cordovan Question" thread reminded me of a question I have been meaning to ask. Hopefully Mac or another member with multiple Aldens will have some input.
I have never had the commando sole on any of my Aldens. I was wondering if there was any comfort difference between a double leather sole and the rubber. I find the leather sole to be excellent, but I also think I could make use of the commando in wet weather and snow.
