I was just on Skoak's website and I just noticed a huge price hight for St. Crispin's shoes. It amounts to about a 500,000 KRW increase. How is it looking on the American website?

I think that many bespoke makers will make you a set of custom lasts for around that price.

Not lasts that are adjusted, but actually your own personal last mold.

Thanks.

I did notice that the MTO prices for St. Crispin's are about the same price as the the current selection. If I were to get St. Crispin's now, they would be MTO. If what you are saying is true, I might give bespoke a try instead. I am completely oblivious to the world of bespoke footwear. I always assumed they were out of my price range.

Place ticket to Bolagna Italy or Budapest?=$4 or 500

Hotel=$150-350

Bespoke service=$1.5-2k

Depending on the rates, you are not far away from the price of the StC...

The quoted prices would also include a pair of boots.

Remember that once a maker has your lasts, then every pair you have made are on the same lasts...

I placed an order for a pair of St. Crispins back in march of this year, and my out the door total was going to be $2100CAD which is about $1550USD for shoes, not boots. that was with a monogram on the sole, and metal toe taps.

Here is the information that was given to me about St. Crispins personal last services:
1. Adding fitting pieces: Fitting pieces are being added to the RTW last in production before your pair is lasted in certain areas of the feet where you need some extra space. It can be to higher the instep, create a wider toe box or a wider heel etc. Please note that this extra cost depends on how many pieces are being added and that material are only added (not removed) from the last. StC themselves or a retailer which sells StC should be able to help customers to place an MTO and to get this service done.
2. Personal last: Similar to above. However, bigger changes of adding fitting pieces are needed to adjust the fit from the RTW last. Also, with a personal last, material can also be removed (not only added), to create a better fit. This can, for example, be to lower the instep, tighten the heel etc.

If you plan to order several pairs of MTO's, the personal last is probably a better option. This is because that extra cost is only paid once (for the first pair) and then you have your personal last saved in the StC factory. In this way, you do not have to pay for the additional fitting pieces for each pair. A trial shoe from scrap leather can also be ordered before a MTO is finalized based on a personal last.

A personal last incurs a cost of USD 350.

As momsdoc has noticed when he was on vacation and he was purchasing shoes (Carmina I think), different countries have different prices. The price for shoes on Skoak have always been cheaper to purchase in Korea than it has been in the States. Those of you that have VPN capabilities can see this. St. Crispin were floating at or around 1,200,000 KRW which is around $1000 depending on the conversation rate. While it may have stayed the same in price for people in the states, there was a huge increase here in Korea.
