I have owned these Meermin's for a few years without issue. The other week, however, I cleaned them with Saddle Soap and then applied Saphir Renoveateur and some cream polish and then I noticed these spots in the vamp. They don't appear when I use Saddle soap, but are noticeable when I apply conditioner and polish. Is there an easy way to salvage this (it's making me self conscious)?

They’ll go away. Just leave them alone so you don’t cause more issues.

It sounds and looks like they've absorbed a little moisture from three different products. After they fully dry, this should disappear.

If the spots are still evident, this far down stream (two days), the problem is not moisture build up, but rather an over abundance of product applied to the affected area of the shoe(s). How is the shoe looking today?

They are not as conspicuous as before but they are still there. Could it be that part of the factory finish was removed and that's why those spots absorb more pigment than other places?

Obviously the spots are slowly disappearing. Don’t f**k with them and do something you’ll regret.

I just used this on my new shoes. After reading that I had to go make sure they were okay.
