I love longer points for a button-down collar, but in my opinion longer points warrant a slightly wider spread. The above collar roll looks off to my eye.

Talk about too much of a good thing! I think I remember seeing a picture of Sammie Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin wearing rigs like that during the 70s.

I happened to catch a fleeting picture of Gerald Ford on TV from when he was appointed VP and he had on an ocbd that rivaled the one Card exhibited. I do remember he wore ocbds mainly as a congressman...but switched to point collars when he ascended to higher office. Appropriate no doubt...but I liked the ocbds. Just don't remember them being so...overwhelming.

 

Would look a lot different, and better, if the points were pushed in instead of rolled out.
