I have seen some spectator shoes sold on EBay and it has peaked my curiosity about wearing them in the 21st century. First, if I owned a pair, what colors would be best suited for me? I have liked the look of an off-white and brown shoe. What are the range of clothing they would be appropriate to wear with? Sports coat? Blazer? Suit? Are they essentially a replacement for brown/black oxfords?
For owners of spectators, what is the preferred cleaning regiment (I assume neutral polish would be sufficient). Lastly, besides EBay, where else might I find a vintage pair of spectators, as due to their rarity they are hard to find in my size (8W). Thanks.
